Elfen Lied

Despite the extreme nudity and language, I felt that Elfen Lied was one of the best animes I had ever seen. Granted, I don't watch too much anime (it's always on late...). I liked each of the characters and the plot line was unique to my knowledge. I really liked Lucy, even though she was a bit loopy.

I was a little confused with Yuki's love for Khota, as it just seemed a bit gross. I like that he was oblivious because it provided a sense of comedy. Also, the incident with Mayu and her stepfather made me cringe. That kind of stuff always gets to me (plus I didn't expect the pictures).

What was your favorite part of the story, and what would you change, if anything?

Yes, one of my favorite animes, no it is my favorite anime. Favorite manga is Chrono Crusade.

What happened in Lucy's childhood made me cry, same with Mayu. Some people are really like that though.

Favorite part of the story, hm, the ending was really sad. The way Mariko died. I thought the way the people treated the Diclonius was really sad. I also like the relationship between Lucy and Khota, but Yuuka needs to find someone who's not her cousin. Nah, they should put some other character in her place.

The way they treat the diclonius actually brings up a good life question. Why would man harm what they create? In some ways it makes no sense, in other ways it does; either way it is cruel. Most people who create something cherish it and try to nurture it, but these scientists created a death wish.

Is the Diclonius' purpose to serve for battle? I saw the anime about a year ago and I don't remember all of the details.

I thought that Nyu was a little annoying, as far as her voice goes, but she was a funny character.
